Calabrian bread stuffed peppers, the ingredients

  • 4 peppers
  • 100g of breadcrumbs
  • 20g of desalted capers
  • 6 anchovy fillets in oil
  • 50g of grated pecorino
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 2 teaspoons of crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • Basil to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 spoons of extra virgin olive oil

Wash the peppers, dry them and cut off the caps. Deprive them of the seeds and internal filaments. Grease the peppers and put them in the oven at 180° for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and eliminate the vegetation water.

Filling:mix the chopped capers, anchovies and cheese with the breadcrumbs and season with salt. Flavor with Calabrian chilli pepper , minced garlic and basil. Add a drizzle of oil, mix everything together and add water if necessary.

Put the peppers in the oven to brown at 200° for 10 minutes. Bake and serve, bon appetit!
